About me
Biography

I was born in Los Angeles and spent most of my childhood in Las Vegas, Nevada before returning to California for college. I attended California Lutheran University, where I majored in biology and minored in psychology. After graduating, I spent two years working in biopharmaceuticals before moving to Boston to attend medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine. While there, I took a year off to conduct research and help run a clinical screening program for breast cancer patients at the Dana Farber Brigham Cancer Center. I graduated from medical school and began my residency training in psychiatry here at Tufts Medical Center in the summer of 2025.

About me
Biography

I was born and raised in San Marcos, TX. But to broaden my horizons and face my fear of the cold, I moved to upstate New York to study violin performance and music education at Ithaca College. During this time, I got involved with a group called Healing Companionship Through Music. Working with very sick and often isolated people opened my heart and mind in ways performing and teaching never had.

One music degree and two biology minors later, I found myself in medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in rural West Texas. I fell in love with the culture of pride and genuine friendliness in this region but also came to appreciate the obstacles in place for those who did not fit that mold. I felt drawn to working with people with complex and often puzzling health issues and soon found a home in psychiatry. I knew I wanted to work with an underserved, urban population and was thrilled to match at Tufts Medical Center!

About me
Biography

I was born in California but spent significant parts of my life overseas. After earning my BSc in Human Biology & Society at UCLA, I spent my gap years in Ireland and Australia. This nomadic lifestyle, shaped by my immigrant parents—a Croatian mother and Syrian father—immersed me in diverse cultures and perspectives. Having lived in multiple countries, each experience added depth to my identity and broadened my understanding of the human experience. My passion for psychiatry is rooted in a fascination with the human mind, informed by my tri-cultural and bi-religious upbringing. Naturally, I feel a strong connection to global health. I am particularly drawn to the study of early life environments and their impact on mental health, with a keen focus on adverse childhood experiences and trauma-informed care.

Hobbies

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, discovering new music, and restoring vintage pieces.

About me
Biography

Born in NOLA and raised in nearby Florida, I grew up a Saints football fan, Cajun foodie, and competitive tennis player. I later moved to Los Angeles for college, partly inspired by the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ music and California’s unparalleled natural landscape. While there, I gained a deep appreciation for film, photography, and hiking. After graduation, I spent my gap year working in the Bay Area, where I found a love for fashion and yoga, the latter of which I honed into a skill and eventual vocation while in Orlando, FL for medical school. I decided to come to Boston to experience a new part of the country and the top-notch psychiatric training this city has to offer.
