Psychiatry residents training for mental healthcare at Tufts Medical Center

Our psychiatry residents are the heart of Tufts Medical Center’s training program. They bring diverse backgrounds, strong dedication, and a passion for learning and compassionate care. Throughout their training, they receive expert mentorship, hands-on experience across multiple specialties, and opportunities to grow as clinicians, educators and leaders. We are proud to support their journey toward becoming skilled psychiatrists ready to meet the evolving needs of mental healthcare.

About me
Biography

I am from central MA. I studied Neuroscience and Behavior in college where I also swam competitively and had a radio show. I worked as an EMT for 3 years in MA while I completed my medical school requirements. I moved to Maine for medical school but completed my clinical rotations largely in MA. Tufts was appealing due to the community feel in an academic setting, well-rounded curriculum, and collegial environment. I am interested in CL, geriatric, and addiction psychiatry. Outside of work, I enjoy comedy, board games, puzzles, plants, and thrifting.

About me
Biography

I was looking for a change of scenery, so I left Las Vegas and ended up practically as far East as I could go for residency. I chose Tufts because I was looking for a program with a smaller class size that has an emphasis on serving its culturally diverse community. I love Boston because it has everything you would expect in a large city like New York, but on a smaller scale. I enjoy nature and easily can spend hours reading or watching people at the Public Garden, Esplanade, or beach. In my free time, I like to try out new recipes, watch stand-up comedy/improv, or travel. It’s a goal of mine to take a mini backpacking trip to Asia during residency!

About me
Biography

I was born in Portland, Oregon but spent some time in various parts of China throughout my childhood. I then attended college at Lawrence University in Wisconsin, where I received my B.A. in biochemistry. Afterwards, I completed medical school at Chicago Medical School and then matched here at Tufts Medicine. I have enjoyed migrating from the west coast to the east coast and meeting new people/trying new foods. For fun, I like to travel, cross stich, play with my guinea pigs, and take walks.
