Recognition programs

Daisy Award Slide

Lowell General Hospital has partnered with the DAISY Foundation to bring a meaningful way for anyone in our community to publicly recognize our nurses. The DAISY Foundation established the DAISY Award® in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. The Barnes family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses to say thank you to nurses everywhere.

Nursing in the Progressive Care Unit. Advancing your nursing career. Elizabeth Conole, RN, BSN.

Lowell General Hospital has earned accolades at both the regional and national level as a best place to work, and our nurses continue to be among the most highly-trained and well-regarded in the region. Beyond patient care, nurses are involved in interdisciplinary collaboration to improve protocols and embrace technology to transform the way we deliver care.

Patients who have the means are expected to pay for services received at Tufts Medicine. We provide financial counseling and financial assistance to patients unable to pay for emergency and medically necessary care.

Are you having trouble paying your hospital and physician organization bills?

Your music therapy will be yours - tailored to your taste in music. It doesn't replace your doctors, but it has been proven that music therapy can decrease your anxiety and stress while you’re in the hospital.

Every music therapist is board-certified and proficient in guitar, piano and singing. If we don’t know the music you love, we make sure we learn it quickly because your well-being is our top priority.

Our sessions might help you pass the time but they could help you:

  • Decrease pain
  • Reduce anxiety & stress
  • Increase socialization & meaningful interaction
  • Provide comfort at end of life & during bereavement
  • Promote motivation
  • Support newborn feeding, growth & neurodevelopment
  • Work with physical therapy & speech language pathology

The division's vascular surgeons use their clinical expertise and research interests to contribute to the field significantly.
