Explore orthopaedic surgery audition rotations at Tufts Medical Center

The Department of Orthopaedics at Tufts Medical Center offers fourth-year medical student audition rotations. The Tufts Medical Center Orthopaedic Surgery Department does not participate in the AOA-CORD Universal Offer Day.

All fourth-year students interested in rotating with our department must apply through the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program.

Application timeline

Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) opens applications on April 1, 2026. Students should apply for all rotations and block dates they are interested in. Students planning to rotate at both Tufts Medical Center and our affiliate site, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, are encouraged to apply to all relevant rotations.

All applications and required documentation must be submitted by April 5, 2026.

Applications for blocks 3–7 are reviewed by the Department of Orthopaedics. Offers are issued by the TUSM Registrar’s Office no later than May 5, 2026. Formal offers are sent by the medical school on behalf of the department after final selections are provided to the Associate Registrar.
