About me
Biography

Dr. Leandro Ramirez is a first-generation American born to Dominican parents. He completed medical school in the Caribbean before returning to New York City, where he worked on NIH-funded research and earned a Master’s in Healthcare Administration. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency in Providence, RI, where his experience as an intern during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic solidified his interest in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He co-founded a non-profit volunteer group aimed at public health awareness and community outreach. Dr. Ramirez is currently in his final year of fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He will be joining the faculty at Roger Williams Medical Center in Rhode Island, balancing his professional pursuits with life as a new father with a growing family.

Career Interests

Dr. Ramirez is preparing to join the faculty at an academic community hospital as a pulmonary and critical care attending. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of physicians and fostering a collaborative learning environment for fellows, residents, and students.
