About me
Biography

I grew up in Baghdad, Iraq, and earned my medical degree from the University of Baghdad College of Medicine. I later moved to Houston, TX, where I was involved in clinical research before pursuing residency and fellowship training in internal medicine and cardiology at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where I currently serve as chief fellow. While training in internal medicine, my interest in cardiac electrophysiology began to take shape and has since evolved into a focused passion. My early research interests were broad—spanning cardiology, critical care, and internal medicine—but now center on arrhythmia management and the mitigation of arrhythmia-associated stroke. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, exploring diverse cuisines, playing sports, and chess.

About me
Biography

I grew up in New Jersey, went to Johns Hopkins University for college, went back to NJ at Rutgers NJMS for medical school and am now in Boston for my IM residency at Tufts MC and my cardiology fellowship. I am interested in electrophysiology and heart failure, but have an open mind since it’s early on in my cardiology training. In my spare time, I enjoy playing pickup soccer, watching my favorite English premier league team languish, hosting board game nights and traveling whenever I can to explore different cultures and cuisines.
