It is staffed by the same highly skilled providers that treat patients at the MelroseWakefield Hospital Emergency Department. We are open 7 am-11 pm and close patient registration at 10:30 p.m.
If you or a loved one is experiencing a life-threatening situation such as a traumatic accident, stroke or heart attack (including chest pain), please call 911 immediately. Don’t wait. Time matters!

What makes us different
Not all urgent care is the same. Our services are provided by emergency medicine staff and backed by all the resources that come with being part of a comprehensive health system. This includes direct or teleconferencing access to emergency department physicians, if needed.
You do not need to be a MelroseWakefield Healthcare patient, but if you are, we will have easy access to your medical records and will send your doctor a report of your visit.
On-site X-rays
Our own radiologists read all X-rays and share results quickly. We provide care for simple fractures and dislocations, but if you have a severe or traumatic injury please visit the closest emergency department.
We can perform X-rays of the:
- Ankle
- Arm
- Chest/lungs
- Foot
- Hand
- Leg
- Ribs
- Wrist
If you are diagnosed with a simple fracture or dislocation, we will provide care with a bandage, sling, splint or Ortho-Glass® splint (a splint used before casting). Plus, as a part of a comprehensive health system, we will connect you with your doctor, orthopedist or specialist for any needed follow-up care.
