Develop and validate the self-perceived food literacy (SPFL) scale, to assess individuals' level of food literacy, including a knowledge, skills and behavior to plan, manage, select, prepare and eat food healthfully.

Content validity: A mixed methods approach was used to develop self-perceived food literacy scale (SPFL scale) comprising three steps: expert insights and existing literature, cross-sectional online survey, and an online survey to distinguish between subgroups with a higher or lower food literacy.
