First, two preliminary nutrition labels were developed, bearing in mind the need for familiarity to a Dutch population and similarity to the original NVS-US. Next, experts, including nutritionists, literacy specialists, and primary care clinicians, reviewed the labels and provided recommendations to improve the clarity and layout of the labels. Finally, cognitive testing was carried out in three rounds of face to face participant interviews to evaluate the ease of understanding of the labels. Finally, the two labels were combined into one six item questionnaire.
Reliability (Cronbach Alpha):
0.76
