Description

The Men-HLS is tool to measure menopause specific health literacy for middle aged women ages 45-64. It consists of 28 items across three factors: accessing, appraising, and utilizing.

About the Validation of this Measure

Country where validated: South Korea
Content validity: Content validity was established by an expert panel of 14 members including gynecologists, nurses, and nursing professors using the Delphi technique. 
Criterion validity: Two self reported HL instruments, HLS-SF-K12 and KeHEALS, were used to verify criterion validity. 
Reliability (Cronbach Alpha): 0.91
