Description

A self-reported multidimensional tool to measure health literacy level to explore the dimensions of health literacy.

About the Validation of this Measure

Country where validated: France
Content validity: The development of the tool included a rigorous translation from the English version to French by three independent researchers with help of a bilingual psychologist. The final items where compared to the Japanese version which was also translated to French by other researchers.
Reliability (Cronbach Alpha): 0.77
Reliability notes:  Sub-scales (α = 0.79, α = 0.74 and α = 0.77 for functional, communicative and critical dimensions respectively.
