Overview
Principal Investigator: Sonia Friedman

This is a prospective registry that collects health information from people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. 

Study details
Inclusion Criteria
  • The participant has been diagnosed with Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis by a gastroenterologist
  • The participant must be at least 18 years old
  • The participant has been prescribed or is starting a new eligible medication for IBD
Exclusion Criteria
  • Participating or planning to participate in a double-blind randomized trial for an IBD drug is an exclusion
Study Requirements

Participants will be asked to fill out questionnaires concerning their health, medication usage, and IBD symptoms at their regularly scheduled gastroenterology appointments. There questionnaires take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Participants will be asked to complete the questionnaires at least once per year and ideally twice per year. There is no end date for the registry. They will be asked to sign a medical record authorization so that study staff can obtain data directly from the EPIC chart.
