Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program

Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship - Clinical Opportunities

Clinical Opportunities

Train in high-acuity ICUs during our anesthesiology critical care fellowship

Our fellowship provides a well-rounded clinical experience built around high-acuity ICU rotations, hands-on procedural training and strong academic support. Fellows rotate through a variety of intensive care settings while receiving personalized, one-on-one mentorship from experienced faculty in anesthesiology and across specialties.

Throughout the year, fellows take an active role in leading rounds, performing procedures, mentoring junior staff and managing critically ill adults with autonomy. They work closely with primary teams and consulting services in a dynamic, collaborative environment that mirrors real-world critical care practice.

Tufts Medical Center is a Level I trauma center and home to one of New England’s top-ranked multi-organ transplant programs. Fellows gain significant exposure to high-volume services, including heart, kidney, and bone marrow transplants, as well as cardiac, vascular, thoracic, trauma, and neurocritical care. Each rotation is designed to strengthen key ICU skills—airway management, ultrasound-guided procedures, ventilator strategies and resuscitation—while building the clinical judgment and adaptability needed to lead in high-pressure situations.
