Anesthesiology critical care fellowship curriculum + ICU training
Our curriculum gives fellows a deep and practical foundation in critical care medicine, with a balance of clinical experience, procedural training and academic learning. Throughout the year, fellows rotate through a variety of ICUs and collaborate closely with specialists in anesthesiology, cardiology, cardiac surgery, internal medicine, neurology, pulmonology and trauma surgery.
Fellows build hands-on expertise in advanced airway management, ultrasound-guided procedures like central and arterial line placement, and ventilator management. This immersive experience prepares them to manage high-acuity, complex cases with clinical precision and confidence.
The educational structure includes a robust didactic schedule, simulation-based training and regular case conferences to support critical thinking and evidence-based practice. Night coverage deepens fellows' autonomy and decision-making skills while helping them grow as leaders in dynamic, high-pressure ICU environments.
