Comprehensive hematology + oncology fellowship with subspecialty clinics and community experience
The Tufts Medical Center Hematology + Oncology Fellowship Program is an ACGME-accredited program that offers comprehensive training in all aspects of hematology and oncology. This three-year fellowship offers a balanced and rigorous experience designed to prepare physicians for leadership roles in academic medicine, clinical care, research, industry and health policy. Graduates are eligible for board certification in both hematology and medical oncology.
Fellows benefit from a wide range of clinical, research and educational experiences, including:
- Broad clinical training in benign and malignant hematology, thrombosis and hemostasis, cellular therapies and solid tumor oncology
- First-year focus on immersive outpatient care, including subspecialty clinics and a community-based rotation at Lowell General Hospital
- Second and third years centered on mentored research, with advanced inpatient training in stem cell transplant, consult services and palliative care
- Longitudinal continuity clinic throughout all three years, with electives and access to specialized programs like Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivorship
- Comprehensive curriculum delivered through regular case conferences, lectures and journal clubs
- Strong track record of graduates advancing to academic leadership, clinical excellence and scientific achievement
