How do I apply to the general surgery residency?
We accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
We review applications from September 1 through November 1 and participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Be sure to register with both ERAS and NRMP to be considered.
Our application process uses the latest research in selection science to help us identify applicants who will thrive here. We want to match with residents who will grow, succeed and contribute to our community.
If you’re selected as a high-potential candidate, we’ll invite you to complete a short, additional assessment through SelectWise. This tool helps us learn more about you and gives you a better sense of what it’s like to train in our program. Invitations will be sent by email to eligible applicants.
