Hands-on anesthesiology critical care fellowship training in Boston
Our Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program delivers a rigorous, hands-on training experience grounded in high-acuity ICU care, multidisciplinary collaboration and advanced procedural skills. Through a full year of immersive clinical rotations, fellows care for critically ill adults across a variety of intensive care settings, including trauma, cardiac, neurocritical, surgical and transplant ICUs.
Each rotation is designed to strengthen your ability to manage complex, rapidly changing situations—from initial stabilization and resuscitation to long-term recovery planning. Fellows perform advanced procedures including airway management, bedside ultrasound, central and arterial line placement, and ventilator management under the close mentorship of experienced intensivists.
Beyond clinical training, our fellowship includes structured didactics, simulation-based learning, and case-based conferences that reinforce critical care principles and foster professional growth. Fellows also gain valuable experience leading rounds, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams and teaching residents and medical students.
Whether your path leads to a community hospital or an academic medical center, our program equips you with the medical expertise, leadership skills and adaptability needed to thrive as a confident and capable critical care intensivist.
