Dedicated educational experiences in the advanced heart failure fellowship
Fellows have the following dedicated educational opportunities:
- Weekly lecture series
- Biweekly pathology rounds
- Cardiogenic shock simulation experience
- Weekly transplant/VAD selection meeting
- Weekly clinical meeting
- Quarterly quality assurance/performance improvement meeting
- Participation in donor organ retrieval
- Financial support to attend a major conference
In addition, fellows are expected to present once at Cardiology Division Conference and at Morbidity and Mortality conferences within the Heart Transplant and LVAD programs.
