Advanced perioperative training in heart disease, transplant + cardiac anesthesia in Boston
The Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, is a one-year, ACGME-accredited program with over 30 years of history and accreditation since 2008. Each year, three fellowship positions are offered, providing advanced training in the perioperative management of patients with congenital and acquired heart disease. Fellows benefit from high-volume exposure to complex cases, including heart failure, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. The program includes structured didactic teaching, robust research opportunities and advanced training in perioperative echocardiography, with eligibility for Advanced TEE certification upon completion.
Located in downtown Boston and closely integrated with Tufts University School of Medicine, the program offers access to world-class clinical resources and an academic environment that fosters both clinical and professional excellence.
