To receive the Quality Achievement Award, hospitals must achieve percentage benchmarks on adherence to all Get With The Guidelines-Stroke achievement indicators for at least 12 consecutive months and during the same period achieve benchmark standards of compliance with five of eight Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Quality measures.

Lowell General Hospital achieved Magnet recognition for excellence in patient care in October 2010 and again in both 2015 and 2020.
