Convenient urgent care services in Medford, MA
Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford Urgent Care is here for you 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Our team of emergency-medicine clinicians provides care for all ages, from children to adults. We’re open 7 am–11 pm, with registration closing at 10:30 pm.
We treat non-life-threatening conditions such as minor injuries, sprains, burns, earaches, coughs, flu symptoms and more. On-site X-rays help us quickly diagnose fractures and dislocations, while lab tests and treatments are available right in urgent care. For life-threatening emergencies like stroke, heart attack or major accidents, call 911 immediately.
Because we’re part of MelroseWakefield Hospital and Tufts Medicine, you benefit from the same resources available in a full hospital. Our team can consult with emergency department doctors if needed and we coordinate care with your primary care doctor or specialist to ensure any necessary follow-up care is easy.
Serving Medford and surrounding communities like Somerville, Everett, Malden, Melrose, Wakefield, Winchester and Arlington, we make it easy to get urgent care close to home. Free on-site parking, accessible entrances and elevators make visits convenient and stress-free.
Please note: Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford Urgent Care is part of a hospital outpatient department. Your insurance may require a referral or authorization before being seen, and your out-of-pocket costs could be higher. If you have questions, check with your insurance company.

What makes us different
Not all urgent care is the same. Our services are provided by emergency medicine staff and backed by all the resources that come with being part of a comprehensive health system. This includes direct or teleconferencing access to emergency department physicians, if needed.
You do not need to be a MelroseWakefield Healthcare patient, but if you are, we will have easy access to your medical records and will send your doctor a report of your visit.
On-site X-rays
Our own radiologists read all X-rays and share results quickly. We provide care for simple fractures and dislocations, but if you have a severe or traumatic injury, please visit the closest emergency department.
We can perform X-rays of the:
- Ankle
- Arm
- Chest/lungs
- Foot
- Hand
- Leg
- Ribs
- Wrist
If you are diagnosed with a simple fracture or dislocation, we will provide care with a bandage, sling, splint or Ortho-Glass® splint (a splint used before casting). Plus, as a part of a comprehensive health system, we will connect you with your doctor, orthopedist or specialist for any needed follow-up care.
