Seal of Excellence: Lowell General Hospital Earns IAC Echocardiography Reaccreditation

Lowell General Hospital’s Main and Saints campuses, along with Merrimack Valley Cardiology in North Chelmsford, have been granted a three-year accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography.

This marks the team’s fifth consecutive designation—an accomplishment that underscores our unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care. Special thanks to Medical Director Miret Ibrahim, MD, and Technical Director Marlie Costa, RDCS, for their leadership and dedication in achieving this milestone.

IAC accreditation represents a rigorous review process, confirming that our cardiologists and cardiac sonographers meet the highest standards of quality, safety​ and technical performance. It is a true seal of approval that patients can trust as assurance of consistent, high-quality care and our ongoing dedication to continuous improvement.
