Team Tufts MC Boston Marathon

From powerful stories of healing to a record-breaking fundraising milestone, Team Tufts MC made an unforgettable impact at the 129th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America.

Our extraordinary team of 50 runners raised over $512,000—setting a new fundraising record for Team Tufts MC and providing critical support to enhance the exceptional care we deliver to every patient.

Each runner on Team Tufts MC reflects the heart and spirit of Tufts Medical Center, patients, their loved ones and dedicated staff members, all driven by deeply personal motivations to take on the 26.2-mile challenge.

Meghan Lembo ran to honor her father's memory and raise awareness about colon cancer, turning her grief into purpose. Brendon Duffy, a former patient who received lifesaving care at Tufts Medical Center, ran to promote early detection and routine cancer screenings. And Logan Buraczynski, a nurse educator at Lowell General Hospital, showed extraordinary resilience by running the marathon just months after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

These stories, and so many others, embody the compassion, strength and determination that define Team Tufts MC. Their perseverance reflects the same unwavering commitment our care teams bring to their patients every day.

Congratulations to all of our runners. Their dedication and hard work have left a lasting impact on our mission to provide accessible, high-quality care to the communities we serve.
