Lowell General Named a Top Maternity Hospital

Lowell General Hospital was recently named one of the nation’s top Maternity Hospitals for 2020 by Newsweek magazine and the Leapfrog Group. We are one of just seven hospitals in Massachusetts to make this list. A total of 231 hospitals in 36 states were named.

The Leapfrog Group, a national non-profit organization that reports on the safety and quality performance of healthcare facilities, used gathered data to rate maternity care across the country and recognized those hospitals that show low rates of C-section, episiotomy and early elective deliveries while following important quality and safety protocols that protect mothers and babies in our care.

According to Newsweek, we are one of “an elite group demonstrating excellence in maternity care.”
