Golf Tournament Funds Critical EKG Equipment Upgrade

October 23, 2025

The 2025 MelroseWakefield Golf Invitational raised more than $175,000 at the Kernwood Country Club on June 9. Among the day’s many memorable moments, one golfer achieved the ultimate feat—scoring a hole-in-one and driving away with a brand-new Acura!

But the real victory extends far beyond the golf course. The proceeds will fund upgrades to EKG machines at MelroseWakefield Hospital—a critical investment in cardiovascular care. EKG machines record the heart’s electrical activity, helping clinicians quickly identify irregular rhythms, heart attacks and other cardiac conditions.

These upgraded machines will give our cardiovascular team advanced tools to swiftly detect heart problems and deliver life-saving care, enabling faster diagnoses and ensuring every patient receives the right care at the right time.

Projects like this benefit every patient served at MelroseWakefield Hospital and are made possible through the generous support of sponsors and donors who choose to invest in our community’s health.
