April 28, 2021

Congratulations to the Cardiac Cath Lab team for being featured in an 8-page spotlight article with the nationally popular clinical trade magazine Cath Lab Digest. The article highlights Lowell General Hospital's Heart and Vascular Center facilities, Cath Lab interventions, procedures and protocols, quality measures and offers a glimpse into special protocols and daily challenges faced by the team with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cardiac Cath Lab Team

“This feature is a testament to the hard work and flexibility of our interventional cardiologists and our amazing Cath Lab team during the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Cece Lynch, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nurse Executive, Lowell General Hospital, PFAC Co-Chair. “Together, they take care of some of our sickest patients in the hospital and stepped right up to meet the challenges of the pandemic. Even now, as COVID-19 cases decline, they continue to work tirelessly every day to help our high acuity cardiac patients that may have delayed care.”

Special thanks to Allayne Mendys, MBA, BSN/RN, CV-BC, AACC, Clinical Manager; Stacey Cayer, BSN/RN; Deidre Goad, RT(R); Anne Marie Jussaume, RT(R); and Laura Pruyn, BSN/RN, CV-BC, for their contributions to the article and highlighting the tremendous work of our team to colleagues across the country.
