Cafeterias Re-Open to Visitors, Public

Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital is welcoming back visitors and the public to the cafeterias at its main and Saints campuses effective January 1, 2023.

Cafeterias reopen 2023

The cafeterias had previously been limited to staff only due to COVID-19-related restrictions.

Visitors will still be required to self-screen upon entry to the hospital and wear a mask in all clinical areas. The state Department of Health relaxed masking requirements in non-clinical areas in October 2022.

“We know how important it is to our visitors to have access to our outstanding cafeterias during their time here, and we are excited to welcome them back,” said Lowell General CEO Jody White. “COVID-19 and other viruses remain active, so we ask that the public to continue their vigilance around self-screening and masking in clinical areas to ensure we maintain a safe, healing environment for our patients.”
