The Reid R. Sacco Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program at Tufts Medical Center was created 7 years ago and the team has shared the creation and model of care in a recent publication.

In the summer of 2020, after seven years of caring for AYAs at Tufts Medical Center the AYA Cancer Program team published: The creation of a comprehensive Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivorship Program: “Lost in transition” no more.

Published in the Journal of Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology, this article provides an overview of the AYA Cancer Program at Tufts Medical Center. The dual purpose of this publication was to showcase the importance of dedicated AYA survivorship programs as well as serve as a model for the development of AYA programs at other hospitals.
