Comprehensive training + supportive mentorship in the Tufts Medical Center OBGYN residency program

The Tufts Medical Center OBGYN residency program offers a supportive, hands-on learning environment where residents build strong clinical skills across all areas of obstetrics and gynecology. Our training combines care at a busy academic medical center with valuable experiences at community hospitals, giving residents broad exposure to diverse patients and healthcare settings.

We emphasize evidence-based care, advocacy, innovation and personalized mentorship to help each resident grow professionally and personally. Residents rotate through all major subspecialties and have a dedicated elective time to pursue research, global health or specialized clinical interests.

Wellness + balance

Wellness and work-life balance are core to our program’s culture. We know wellness means something different to everyone, so we work to help each resident find their own balance. Each year, a chief resident serves as Wellness Chief to coordinate monthly group activities that include meditation, exercise and gratitude practices. Residents also participate in ACOG’s wellness week with events like rock climbing, fitness classes and downtime. Our annual 24-hour retreat combines team building with wellness events, and our GME office supports social activities such as a popular summer boat cruise in Boston Harbor to welcome the new academic year.

Our program fosters collaboration, leadership development and community. We are committed to training skilled, compassionate OBGYN physicians who are ready to make a difference in their communities.

OBGYN Residency

Train with purpose in our OBGYN residency program in Boston

Tufts Medical Center offers a well-rounded OBGYN residency program in the heart of Boston. Our training combines academic excellence with hands-on clinical experience in both university and community settings. We prepare residents to thrive in general practice, pursue subspecialty fellowships, lead research or drive meaningful advocacy.

Residents gain experience across all OBGYN specialties with guidance from dedicated faculty. Most training takes place at Tufts Medical Center, with additional rotations at Lowell General Hospital, MelroseWakefield Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. This mix of training sites ensures broad exposure to different patient populations and care environments.

Neurology Residency - How to Apply

Apply to Tufts Medical Center neurology residency: Deadlines, requirements + FAQs

We participate in ERAS and NRMP, and all applications must be submitted through these programs. Application materials should be submitted by October 15, two years before the PGY-2 neurology training year. For example, those seeking to start residency in July 2027 should apply by October 15, 2025.

Successful completion of a preliminary year in internal medicine is required before beginning neurology residency. We offer guaranteed preliminary medicine positions at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital for candidates who match into Tufts Medical Center Neurology.

Your ERAS application must include:

  • ERAS application form
  • Curriculum vitae including honors, publications and presentations
  • Medical School Performance Evaluation or Dean’s letter
  • Official medical school transcript
  • USMLE scores (Step 1 required, Steps 2 and 3 if available); COMLEX scores accepted
  • Three or more letters of recommendation, including one from your neurology rotation chair
  • Personal statement
  • Photograph
  • ECFMG certificate (for international medical graduates)
Interviews will be held between the months of October and January

We do offer guaranteed preliminary internal medicine (PGY-1) positions for applicants who match with the Tufts Adult Neurology Residency Program. There are 6 medicine internship positions available at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital. If you are interested in one of these positions, you must rank the program in the supplemental match list, but you will not be required to interview separately. Alternatively, you can choose to apply to and match with any other PGY-1 preliminary medicine position in the U.S.

International medical graduates
