This study assess if it is possible to provide produce as a prescription in prenatal clinical care for pregnant women and to understand the impact that may have on their health and the health of their newborns after delivery.

Produce Prescriptions on Maternal and Birth Outcomes: A Food is Medicine Intervention among Pregnant Women

In this study, fresh produce will be delivered to participants for 16 weeks during the course of their pregnancy. At the beginning of the study participants will be given a survey to understand their diet before enrolling in the study and to learn more about them and their background. During the study participants will also be given a survey to measure their satisfaction with the produce being delivered. At the end of the study participants will be given a survey similar to the one given in the beginning to assess their diet during the study. Participating in this study requires no extra visits or samples to be collected.
